Paani Project is our signature project since last 22 years. Rotary Club of Pune Shaniwarwada has been carrying out this project which is a signature project of our club for last 22 years. In Pune City (Maharashtra India), on the last day of Ganesh Festival there is a big procession that is taken out every year. Few lakhs of devotees participate in this procession. Our club has been instrumental in putting drinking water stall since last 22 years on this day. All our members, anns, spouse, annets participate in this project. We provide good quality potable water to the devotees. This has many-fold advantages: 1. The devotees are not required to purchase bottled water. 2. We help reduce plastic pollution. 3. The physical footfall for the project is more than 5000 persons (those who actually drink water). Thus we reach to these people (Direct PI). Apart from this few thousand more (25000+) are the viewres who notice our club activity. Local body officers, police officers of higher rank also have visited & appreciated our activity like ever year.
